This is in response to the following question, which I received. I feel the
response should be seen by all.

rberos
V5 beta 2 release. It fixes some bugs and provides a more complete set of tools
for kdb5_edit and kadmind. There is a postscript file in the distribution
(SNL_MIT_Differences.ps) which documents some of the differences between the MIT
code and what we are using. We offer what we have not as a replacement for what MIT
offers, but as means of quickly building and evaluating Kerberos, since
the source we offer has been compiled and runs on a wide variety of
platforms. We hope this will encourage sites to look at Kerberos and
it's capabilties as a network authentication system, and promote a wide user
base so that it (v5 especially) becomes an integral part vendors operating
systems.
The MIT code is not yet production code, this is simply our way
of providing feedback of what we have done with Kerberos.
