So if my understanding of the krb.realms file is complete, it is just a map
of what server to talk to when trying to connect to a machine or domain.
Is this understanding correct? Is it a first match situation?
Say I want to connect to foo.bar.com in domain CAZ.BAR.COM and use
server kerberos.bar.com. kerberos.bar.com is the main kerberos server
for the bar.com network. But, I also want to connect to baz.bar.com and
use server krb.chips.bar.com. My krb.realms file would look like:
.bar.com CAZ.BAR.COM
baz.bar.com DOZ.BAR.COM
Or would it need to be:
baz.bar.com DOZ.BAR.COM
.bar.com CAZ.BAR.COM
Obviously, both domains would need to be in the krb.conf file so that the
domains would be mapped to the correct server. It would look something
like:
DEFAULT.BAR.COM
DEFAULT.BAR.COM krb2.wire.bar.com admin server
DOZ.BAR.COM kerberos.bar.com admin server
CAZ.BAR.COM krb.chips.bar.com admin server
