Replay Found and Retransmitted????

I am using kerberos V beta 5 on an OSF/1 Ver 3.0 alpha machine with
xyplex terminal servers for user dialup.
Lately, I've been encountering intermittent problem with user logins.
Under normal circumstances, the user will see the following during login:
Enter username> testuser
Enter password> *******
:
:
But since yesterday, the authentication process goes like this:
Enter username> testuser <---- hang here
The session is terminated by the terminal server after a minute.
A check on the kerberos log on the master kerberos server shows the
following log message:
May 14 21:41:44 temasek krb5kdc[527]: DISPATCH: replay found and
re-transmitted
Does any kind souls out here know what's happening? What is a replay?
Each time I reboot the terminal server, the problem seemed to go away.
But the problem will reappear on another terminal server.
Any help will be deeply appreciated.
