What happened to KSUCCESS?  The only error code that I've seen whose code is
zero is

KDC_ERR_NONE

Is it permissible to assume that success is zero to permit 

if (kerror = function()) return (kerror)

instead of

if ((kerror = function)) != KSUCCESS) return (kerror)
