The KDC has need to split the decoding and the decrypting/interpretation of the AP_REQ message (it comes to the KDC encoded in a larger message). I propose adding an alternate entry for rd_req, very similar to the current interface, but with the input a decoded but not-yet-decrypted AP_REQ message.
