If Tom hasn't pointed this out to you yet, he removed these a
few weeks ago. Beta 7 will be importable.
Actually, Tom added cvsignore to CVSROOT, but the .cvsignore files are
still in the tree. Also, some of them have files which aren't yet in
the top-level cvsignore.
I will manually remove the .cvsignore files before I put out the Beta 7
release, and we'll deal with the cvsignore issue post-beta 7.
