I happen to know that the X consortium has written very little krb5
code they intend to keep. I don't know who else to whom you've made
committments, but before committing to maintain two API's, it wouldn't
hurt to ask them if they actually care about the ccache api.
Also, wrt these promises, exactly what parts of the API did you
promise you wouldn't change? I wouldn't call anything named krb5_*
part of the API?
