Electronic commerce has quickly become a necessary and valuable=20

element of doing business. The inexorable improvements in the=20

underlying technologies enable more functional and complex e-commerce=20

applications. The advances create both opportunities and challenges=20

for researchers, developers, and employers of e-commerce systems.

The goal of the Third International Symposium on Electronic Commerce=20

(ISEC 2002) is to provide a forum for researchers, developers and=20

business users to share and disseminate information about current=20

important research and application issues concerning electronic=20

commerce. This conference will feature invited talks and=20

presentations of refereed papers covering the major areas of=20

electronic commerce.
