Here is what I was told yesterday
There is zero ambiguity that only the NSA can approve
devices to protect classified data. The only asymmetric
key product approved is Fortezza. It is recognized that
if you have something that ensures host-to-host security,
such as an encrypted IP link, you don't need Fortezza
end-to-end.
