FYI, for whatever reason, two people messaged me offlist (I think, =
unless they BCC'd the list) saying that they supported the idea.=20
On-list support would be more helpful though.
One of them offered free hosting for the site:
I'll spawn a VM on a private box in our [redacted], install the OS, =
install
SMF and host it for free in perpetuity if you can get critical mass and
find people to admin it etc.
Over on [randombit] a couple folks said that they'd rather move to a =
decentralized system, but offered no such alternatives, and I don't know =
of any such alternatives that are easy for everyone to use and offer the =
same features that forums do.
