Can someone help me with this question?

Does the federal act which allows tapping of telephones (under judicial
supervision, of course) also outlaw end-to-end encryption of telephone
conversations? I'm not clear on that.

[There is at the moment no law prohibiting the use of cryptography in
the U.S. of any sort. It is perfectly legal to end-to-end encrypt your
U.S. phonecalls. --Perry]

Thanks,

Myron Lewis
