Well, I don't mean to be pollyanna, but wishing for congress to do the
right thing won't make it so, and waiting for the Supremes will just
delay this all by few more years and more FUD to the process.
The alternatives seem to be 1) joining a band of cyber-survivalists in
the Rockies or 2) getting more involved in the political aspect to
tell the lawgivers (er, um, I mean lawmakers) that we the people will
not tolarate (any more of) a police state being built on these shore.
Since I figure that a) I like the shore better than the mountains, and
b) there are enough crazies up there without me joining in I've
decided to fight the old fashioned way until the last card is played
out. You seem bent more toward the latter part than the former, so, to that
end, I would suggest that you go to:

and get a copy of the personal politcal action kit I've just finsihed.
It's two databases (with tab-delim and excel versions) of all of the
House and Senate names/addresses/phone/fax/email info, sample letters
and instructions on how to make it all work in a mail merge system.
Tell your friends, and have them tell theirs...It's amazing how
quickly one person can send unique, individual faxes to every Senator with
this kit. Then there's the House. Then there's using the kit with a speed
dialer.... :-)
If just one person did it, they'd probably just think he's crazy and
ignore him. If TWO people did (in harmony), they'd probably think they
were both [pedophiles|drug-dealers|gangsters|terrorists] (and
investigate them :-). And if three people do it... can you imagine if
50 people a day sending in 100 faxes... Kinda' the Alice's Resaurant
