At more and more stores I get asked to sign my credit card slips on little
tablets which clearly digitize and store them. Today's was an NCR tablet
at the Sports Authority, but I've seen other brands elsewhere.

Anyone have any info on what exactly they do with the digitized signature?
The security for the database? Staff in stores always swear up and down
that it's harmless and secure, but when I say no sale if I have to use it,
paper always appears.
