CFP98 takes place February 18-20, 1998 in Austin Texas: registration is
$400 for the general sessions, and $75 for tutorials, *if received by
January 15, 1998*; Special reduced registration fees are available for

fax, e-mail, or by using our on-line registration form (MC/VISA only) at
the CFP98 web site. Payment is required at the time of registration:
payment can be made by check (with mailed registration form) and by VISA or
MC for phone, fax, e-mail or on-line registrations. CFP98 offers tiered
registration fees: early registration is strongly encouraged to assure your
space at the conference and choice of tutorial, and to obtain the lowest

MEALS AND FUNCTIONS INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION FEE: The registration fee for
CFP98 includes the Wednesday dinner and opening reception at the Austin
Music Hall, Thursday dinner, plus Thursday and Friday lunches. (See below
for special rules applicable to press.)
SPECIAL RATES FOR Students and Law Enforcement Personnel: We strongly
encourage student and law enforcement participation at CFP98. A special
reduced rate of $225, for registrations received by February 15, 1998, is
available. This rate provides a substantial discount from the regular
CFP98 registration fees of $400-$525. Registrations received after
February 15, including door registrations, will be subject to a $35 late
processing fee, making the total cost $260.To be eligible for the student
rate, you must be a full-time student in an undergraduate, graduate, or
professional degree program. Students registered at the special rate will
be required to produce a valid student ID or other proof of student status
at the time of on-site registration.
Similarly, a full-time law enforcement official, employed by a national,
international, state, county, or local government agency is also eligible
for this special rate. Law enforcement personnel claiming this reduced
rate should bring a valid law enforcement ID to present.
ANYONE CLAIMING A STUDENT OR LAW ENFORCEMENT RATE WHO CANNOT CONFIRM HIS OR
HER STATUS TO THE CFP ON-SITE REGISTRATION STAFF WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY
THE REGULAR "DOOR" REGISTRATION FEE.
TUTORIALS NOT INCLUDED IN CONFERENCE FEES: Please indicate your choice of
tutorial on the registration form; note that there is an additional charge
for tutorials. The Student or Law Enforcement rate permits attendance at
tutorials on a "space available" basis. Students and law enforcement
personnel who wish to GUARANTEE A SPACE AT A SPECIFIC TUTORIAL should
pre-register and pay the tutorial fee.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICIES: Refund requests received in writing by
February 15, 1998 will be honored, however a $35 cancellation fee will
apply. No cancellations or refunds will be available after February 15,
1998. (Allow four-six weeks for processing).
