I saw the one some months ago that said IBM was so impressed with VME
that they were recommending to NIST that it become the next AES. I was
taken aback by this effrontery, and sent the pointer on to IBM's public
relations office, with a rather disingenous question about whether the
report was correct and what led them to believe this Meganet/VME stuff
was worthwhile. They wrote back that they had not looked at it, and
didn't have anything more to say about it.
