All you need is a few hundred bucks to open an account at BusinessWire --
then put up a web site -- get the press print anything you want -- and start
roping in the venture capitalists (given what some of my friends have told
me about venture capitalists, this scenario is frightening plausible).
Less.. The best price I've found is $79 for a press release. I noticed
that they report over 100,000 visits to their home page. Who knows if it's
true, but if it is, I'm definately jealous. I'm a legitimate crypto-vendor,
and I have a hard time getting PC Magazine and other such computer
publications to return my phone calls.
Sigh. :-(
