Wow! I am stunned (this will probably translate to "crypto expert stunned by Meganet's amazing products" which ignores the fact that a. I don't claim to be a crypto expert, b. I'm not stunned by their products, just their sheer audacity).
Heaven help us if the wrong bunch of kids figures out this whole PR scam. All you need is a few hundred bucks to open an account at BusinessWire -- then put up a web site -- get the press print anything you want -- and start roping in the venture capitalists (given what some of my friends have told me about venture capitalists, this scenario is frightening plausible).
Of course, I wouldn't really care if Meganet was just selling flaky plastic garden gnomes, but flaky encryption...that's a whole different sin.
