OK, so the USG are saying that export regulations are perhaps not such a
brilliant idea after all. The NSA are saying key escrow isn't so hot,
either.
The commerce dept. say the FBI are the ones the computer industry should
sit down with and hammer out a deal.
Now, perhaps I'm missing something, but isn't the FBI supposed to deal
with internal affairs (i.e. the doings of US citizens)? And hasn't
everyone always said that spying on US citizens was NOT what this was
all about?
So, why are the FBI the fly in the ointment?
(Yes, I know we knew this all along, but isn't this recent stuff getting
just a little bit _too_ obvious?)
