The print edition of the October 98 Scientific American has a special
report on computer security. Articles include:
How hackers break in & how they are caught; Carolyn Meinel
Firewalls; Bill Cheswick & Steve Bellovin
Digital Certificates; Warwick Ford
The Java Sandbox; James Gosling
Cryptography for the Internet; Phil Zimmermann
The case against Regulating Encryption Technology; Ron Rivest
The online edition at http://www.sciam.com doesn't have these as any of
the featured articles, but it does have a cute piece in the Cyberview
section on Y2K.
