Augsburg is a town north of Munich, Bavaria. Nearby Augsburg there is 
a huge installation of a radio intercept station. I dont't know 
whether or not it is still operative. Augsburg should not be mixed up 
with "Bad Aibling" which is a much smaller town east of Munich and 
also equipped with intercept installations. The station of Bad 
Aibling is said to be part of ECHELON.
