I'm surprised not to have seen any discussion about this on the lists,
so perhaps this has already been mentioned and I missed it.

At the RSA conference yesterday, it was announced that the team
of Deep Crack and Distributed.net solved (and won) the third RSA DES
challenge in just 22.25 hours.
