Didn't the NCIS rep, when asked about criminals not supplying copies of their
secret keys, say something about some criminals are too stupid to use
encryption?

John Carr was a Labour politician at Ken Livingstone's Greater London
Council from 1981-86. JC, for at least part of that time, was
responsible for GLC employees (Chairman of the Staff committee IIRC). At that
time, he didn't know a computer from the back end of a bus...but he may do
now of course. JC's attitude to the Police, censorship and civil rights may
also have changed over the years.

The first time I've ever seen either.
But much more important than all of this was the 3rd item on Newsnight: Chess
