Iron bars and Medeco locks are generally used on external entries in high
crime areas. The Internet appears to qualify as a high crime area, but the
market for iron bars is currently dominated by black painted styrofoam (C2
evaluated!). There's not as much market for genuine iron -- styrofoam looks
just as good, is easier to install, and it costs less.
