While I'm thinking about it, the IPSec folks, spurred on by Bellovin and
others, have decided to add an authentication/integrity field after
encryption.

I have not been able to find a strong encryption algorithm with strong
integral integrity, so that we could avoid doing 2 passes over the same
data. Anybody doing work in this area?

[I can't think of anyone. -- Perry]
