I feel that changing the toast song, taking out the word "brother" and
things of that nature, out of the song, I believe takes away from the history
of the fraternity. Although, we always have to push forward into the future,
I think that changing this would take away from everything we are built upon.
I am very proud to be a brother. As stated so many times before, we
are a Fraternity, and a fraternity has brothers... even if some are female. :)
Since pledging I have met so many brothers. Brothers who are part of a
"family", brothers who all mean a lot to me. The word brother means more than
just seven letters. Read beyond the letters and you find men and women through
out the world with similar interests and beliefs. Those people are my Alpha Phi
Omega brothers, and no matter what people decide to call them (sisters, members
...) they will always be brothers to me.
