Can someone please tell me why Nationals is the week between Christmas and
New Year? Is this another one of those tradition things???
I suppose that I am in the minority, but it just happens to be a bad week.
I need to be home for Christmas and I need to be home for New Year's. Any
other week would have been splindid... especially since I go to school a
few hours from Dallas in Oklahoma and my home is way down in Florida. It
is the worst week (opinion) for renting vehicles or getting airline
tickets... BUSY BUSY BUSY... plus, by not having the conference over a
weekend we need to stay later in order to get the bargain airline fares.
Why not just have a 3 day conference over a long weekend (i.e. Monday a
Holiday), so that people would only need to miss a couple of days of school
to attend... Am I being irrational?
P.S. I ditto what Shawn said in regard to the toast song. Well put!
