Attention all Sectional Chairs and staffers or alumni who would like to
be
trained in either position.
You are all cordially invited to attend the 1995 Sectional Resource
Weekend,
Aug. 4-6, 1995 at Camp Mokan in lovely Independence, MO.
Once again, Alpha Phi Omega will be offering this fun-filled,
action-packed,
information extravaganza for section chairs, sectional staffers or people
who
would like to get involved at the sectional level, but did not know how
or
didn't want to ask. It's also an opportunity for sectional chairs and
staffers to learn more about our fraternity as well as form bonds of
friendship and camaraderie while taking advantage of APO's greatest
resource -- it's diversity.
We've changed things around this year and hopefully, we'll have topics
which
everyone will find some interest in. Our schedule has also been
rearranged so
that we can take advantage of the Mokan facilities and have lots of fun.
The cost for the weekend is $40, but you will leave the SRW motavated and
recharged for the coming year as well as absorbing plenty of information
which you can use.
If you have some written materials or handouts which you would like to
share
with your fellow chairs and staffers, please send them to me so that I
can put together a package for Pat Burke to start copying for the
weekend.
Send those items via snail mail to me -- Ed Richter, 3590-H Village
Drive,
Franklin, OH 45005.
We will have a special night planned on Friday when you arrive at camp
and we
will have our national office tour on Sunday before you head for home.
Also, I have asked Susan Itterly, Section 35 Chair, to look at possible
venues for an R&R activity.
Saturday will include various presentations to help you be a more
effective
chair or staffer and will have several small group discussions on various
topics.
Our staff is as diverse as our fraternity is and I have pulled out the
stops,
(ok, I know it's getting deep) to make this the world class fraternity
event.
Assisting me this summer are, drum roll please, National President (the
big
kahuna himself) Wilfred Krenek, National LD Director Allen Wong, National
PR
and International Relations Director Dave Emery, Region I Director Cheryl
Lynn Smith, Section 23 Chair Tanya Refshauge, and two other fraternity
all stars to be announced in a later posting.
Any questions, send them to me at af901@dayton.wright.edu
A tentative schedule is listed below.
