I am just writing to thank everyone who offered suggestions...I really
appreciate all of the help. I just want to say that I know I did
not make myself totally clear when I wrote the first letter, but
Zeta Alpha chapter here at Bradley University does have an associate
status in which the member can not vote, but they only have to fulfill
5 service hours and attend the meetings that they can. With this,
we still have many members who miss service projects in which they
sign up for and chapter meetings. We allow 3 unexcused and unlimited
excused. OUr biggest problem is trying to decide what constitutes
an excused absence. The other problem we are having is the number
of service hours (we require 25 /semester)
Thanks again to all who helped. I'll try and update everyone IF a
solution is ever reached.
