Hey Brothers:
I have a question. I realized that since about the early '70's the most
common fraternity paraphernalia was a T-Shirt or sweatshirt with the fraternity
letters on it. This could also hold true for jackets and button-down sweaters.
However, I noticed something. Between the years of 1962 and 1972 (roughly), I
have seen in old college yearbooks Greeks wearing V-neck cardigans in their re-
spective colors with the coat-of-arms on the front, the Greek letters along the
side, and their year of initiation on the sleeve near the shoulder ('64, '66,
'69, etc.). Since I haven't seen a whole lot of yearbooks, has Alpha Phi Omega
ever has had such paraphernalia? As far as I have seen, the only "old school"
paraphernalia I have seen was the blue blazer with the coat-of-arms on the
breast pocket (common among other Greeks as well) and the APO armband (still in
distribution today, but not worn very often). As for the sweaters, they look
a little high-schoolish by 90's standards, but was still SWEEEET! If you know
of this or any other old-school APO 'nalia, please e-mail me.
Peace.
