Howdy! I just joined your list. I'm a 1975-model Texas Aggie (Xi Delta
Chapter). I found out about this list via the Scouting area on America
Online. I've been reading your messages for the last week and thought I'd
throw in my $2.00 ($.02 in 1975 dollars) worth.

All this ferment over passwords, etc. reminds me of the old saying "Two can
keep a secret if one of them is dead." If the information is unsuitable for
public dissemination, maybe it shouldn't be on the Web. But if you *are*
going to put a list of APOers on the Web, maybe a typical phonebook is the
right model. Publish only the names, e-addresses, etc. (chapter
affiliations? schools?) of those who *want* the information to go public.
Those who prefer to remain "unlisted" would simply not go on the list.
