Jonathan's point about gathering statistics is well-taken, *if* we wanted to
base our arguments on things that could be adequately judged by statistics.

For instance, you could not gather accurate statistics on the side of summer
conventions without first holding several summer conventions.  Thus, you must
put the cart before the horse and must have a discussion about whether or not
summer conventions are desirable -- and you cannot base these arguments on
"FACTS" because there is insufficient data.  Thus, the argument needs to be
based on common sense and reason.  I would suggest that this keeps more with
the spirit of Alpha Phi Omega in promoting leadership (character) development.
