Hello. My name is David Hampton. I wish I was writing to invite
everyone to a party, or to debate the latest issues, but my chapter has a
serious problem.
A couple of weeks ago, our president's car was stolen. That in
itself is bad, but what made this worse was that he had all of our ritual
gear in it. Being that we are a small chapter, we don't have the funds
to buy everything this semester, and we probably won't nest semester as
well. We have thought about different fund raising projects, but we have
found in the past that fund raisers don't necessarily turn a profit on
this campus (we are a commuter school).
My thought is this, if I could ask each chapter to send a dollar,
that would be a good start. But how do you ask complete strangers (even
though you are brothers) to give up money that they could probably use in
their many areas of service? After mulling it around..... here goes..
"Are there any chapters out there that would be willing to help
us out by sending a dollar?"
