I have heard of some chapters that do require e-mail to be read to
communicate things, but the only group that I can come up with a name for
off the bat is the Embry-Riddle PG. I'm sure that some of the chapters at
"techie" universities (MIT, Carnegie-Mellon, RPI, etc.) could do it, but
I'm not sure they do.
Carnegie-Mellon's chapterr has the following as far as I can tell...
1) All students have email (you get it before you go to your first class)
2) 5 local newsgroups(one general, one pledges, one discussion, one for
conferences, and one I can't remember)
3) "dlists" which are sort of like mailing lists except you are
automatically subscribed.
4) A chapter account. (We've had that for a decade or more)
and yet brothers are still not required to read their email...
