Dear Chris,
The Top 25 list in question had been located. It states: The Chapters
with the Largest Memberships as of 7/6/95. It was in my last board report.
The list is the combination of those activated in a year (those who paid
the one-time $30 pledging fee) and people who paid AAMD (the $8 yearly active
fee) from Sept. 1, 1994, to July 6, 1995.
There was a final "Top 25'' list issued on Aug. 31, but I was told by
membership director Judy Mitchell in Kansas City that it is was not much
different than this one. She had prepared the July report early for the
summer National Board meeting, but our ficsal year is over on Aug. 31.
The chapters are, (drum roll please...)
Univ. of Texas (Alpha Rho) -- 208 activated, 146 dues paid = 354
Cal-Davis (Iota Phi) -- 198, 129 = 327
Miami (Ohio) (Zeta Delta) -- 146,177 = 323
Texas A&M (Xi Delta) -- 192, 106 = 298
St. Louis U. (Delta Delta) -- 146, 139 = 285
Purdue (Alpha Gamma) -- 112, 146 = 258
West Virginia (Lambda Omicron) -- 127, 100 = 227
Florida State (Iota Rho) -- 116, 91 = 207
Penn State (Alpha Beta) -- 67, 125 = 192
Michigan (Gamma Pi) -- 100, 90 = 190
North Carolina (Rho) -- 87, 100 = 187
Northeast Missouri State (Epsilon) 77, 103 = 180
Bucknell (Pennsylvania) (Iota Kappa) -- 91, 80 = 171
North Carolina State -- 81, 89 = 170
Bradley (Illinois) (Zeta Alpha) -- 87, 82 = 169
Baylor (Texas) (Zeta Omega) -- 90, 107 = 169
Duke (Lambda Nu) -- 52, 117 = 169
William & Mary (Virginia) (Nu Rho) -- 48, 107 = 155
Luther College (Iowa) (Mu Theta) -- 17, 130 = 147
Ohio University (Delta Gamma) -- 88, 58 = 146
James Madison (Virginia) (Chi Gamma) -- 72, 72 = 144
Central Michigan (Epsilon Beta) -- 72, 66 = 138
Washington U. (Missouri) (Alpha Phi) -- 55, 81 -- 136
Emory (Georgia) (Delta Kappa) -- 60, 75 = 135
Illinois (Alpha Alpha) -- 48, 81 = 128
Texas Tech (Beta Sigma) -- 69, 57 = 126
Cal Poly State (Zeta Omicron) -- 81, 45 = 126
Southwestern (Texas) (Alpha Gamma Kappa) -- 56, 69 = 125
Actually it's more than 25, and it does my middle-aged heart good to see
the spirit of leadership training through service touch so many lives.
YiLFS,
Neal Farmer
