Someone mentioned "mugging", is that kissing a pledge or what used to be
called "kidnapping"?

We used to have something called "kidnapping" in which 2 or more actives
INVITED a pledge to go mini-golf, get ice cream, whatever. The pledges
could also "kidnap" an active.

We called it this up until the first regional conference we hosted, which
was attended by then member-at-large, Brother Wilfred Krenek. He said we
couldn't call it "kidnapping". We asked him what we should call it, and
he said he didn't care what we called it as long as it wasn't kidnapping
or anything along those lines. So we changed the name to "Kreneking", in
honour of Wilfred (YODA).

They're also referred to as "invitationals", and the purpose is to
encourage interaction between the active brothers and the pledges, so as
to make new friends within the fraternity.
