Hello everyone:
This is my first time sending a message through APO-L so I hope I'm doing it
right. My name is Yulitza Franklin and I'm the VPS of the ADH chapter at
the University at Albany. In a nutshell, I need help.
You see, we are trying to organize a Dance-a-Thon here in order to collect
funds for our Giving Tree project (the project consists of setting Xmas trees
in participating offices with tags that have inscribed in them a wish from
anyone; for example, a six-year old needing a sweater for the winter. A
person who takes this tag is responsible for fulfillin the wish. If there
are any tags left on trees, as there has been in the past years, we then
become responsible for fulfilling the wish(es). As you can imagine, we would
need to generate funds for this task).
This is where the Dance-a-Thon comes in! so far, we're planning on distributingletters of invitation to different organizations on campus, drafting pledge
forms, getting DJ's and all that stuff. What I'd like to know, is how other
chapters have done it, in order to get an idea on organizing it. Keep me
