I am so proud to announce that Governor Pete Wilson has issued a
proclamation designating Saturday, November 4, 1995 as Service Day 1995
in the State of California. We want to use his proclamation to help us
focus attention on the Fraternity's efforts to serve our campuses,
communities, and the nation.

Many thanks go to Rhonda Aven-Haggenmiller, Region X Service Chair, and
her staff for their efforts to obtain proclamations from the governors
of Region X states and to promote National Service Day. In addition to
California, we have requested proclamations from Arizona, Oregon, Utah,
and Washington.

Congratulatory notes can be sent directly to Rhonda at
"rhondaaven@aol.com."
