ATTENTION:  THE WASHINGTON CENTER AND AMERICAN EXPRESS IS SPONSORING AN
ACADEMIC SEMINAR: LEADERSHIP 2000.

A packet of information for LEADERSHIP 2000 will be sent to each chapter
this
week for college students interested in developing their leadership
knowledge
in Washington D.C. during January 2 to 12 , 1996.  The focus is
understanding
community service/ current issues/ public policy of nonprofits and
management
by hands on training from competent faculty.
Colleges typically grant two to three academic credits for successful
completion of  the seminar if arranged by the colleges or university.
The
program consists of listening to Speakers/ panel discussions/ Workshops/
site
visits/ small group discussions/ readings/ journals/ mentor day/ service
projects etc.
The Leadership 2000 Seminar is fully funded ( including housing ) but the
costs for transportation, meals, and personal expenses are not.  The fee
(non-refundable) is sixty ($60.00) dollars and the application is due
DECEMBER 8, 1995.

Coordinator,  directly at (garya@twc.edu) from The Washington Center  OR
check with whoever checks  the Chapter mail for applications .
