The Usenet rec.scouting hierarchy has long been plagued by non-Scouting people
berating the BSA for its stance on the so-called 3 G's (God, gays, girls) in
regards to its membership policies. Personally, the berating and flaming
became so prominent and irrelevant, that I stopped reading it a long-time ago.
I do know that the group split into several subgroups including:
rec.scouting.usa, rec.scouting.issues, etc. partially due to a wish to eliminate
the problem. Unfortunately, I do not believe these groups are moderated which
means anyone can post whatever drivel and hate that they want.

Most Scouters who do want to participate in Scouting discussion utilize the
SCOUTS-L mailing list instead.
