Hi, it's mrn. Sorry this response is a little late. I've been on business travel
for a week.
A list of ideas and resources is included in the National Service Day Handbook
that was mailed to all chapters the first week of September. If anyone would
like, I can send you an email version, or post it here. Thank you for planning
now!
BTW, the post on hurricane preparedness from the National Office (a version of
which also went to chapters via conventional mail) was taken entirely from a
previous post by Dave Bujak of Alpha Delta
Nu, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He is credited in my letter, but I
wanted to make his contribution clear. Thanks Dave!
Another BTW. If you have ideas for the next Program of Emphasis, and/or NSD 97 &
98, please submit resolutions to the National Office by September 29th. It's not
a binding deadline (as it is for Bylaws amendments), but it's good to have ideas
in early. A reference committee decides the themes, so include convincing
rationale. Remember it needs to be service all chapters can perform, be good for
PR, and amenable to involving non-APO-er's. Thanks in advance!
