Greetings!
This message serves both to announce our organization and to task
everyone for answers to some of our questions.
ANNOUNCEMENT: An APO, DC Area Alumni Organization (DCAAO) has formed
up. If you are an alumnus/alumna of Alpha Phi Omega, living in the
Washington, DC metropolitan area, please contact me for more information
on the DCAAO. If you know other alumni in the area, don't assume we've
contacted them (location of alumni is one of our most problematic
chores); Please invite them to come to our meetings. General
announcements and word-of-mouth are our best chance of contacting alumni
at this point in time, so get the word out if you can. Our next meeting
is on Monday, September 30th at 7pm (contact me for directions).
QUESTIONS:
(1) Are there other successful geographical based alumni organizations
of APO out there?
(a) How did you become successful?
(b) How do you gather your membership?
(c) How is your purpose defined in your bylaws? How would you
describe it in plain English?
(d) What attracts alumni the most?
(e) What kind of projects do you sponsor?
(2) Are there any suggestions out there for what we should do and how
we could attract members?
(3) Are there any Alumni Organization/Section Staff alliances? Are
they successful?
