The only problem I could see with video taping the pledge or any
other fraternity cerimony would be that it accidentaly got into the hands
of someone who was not a brother and them see the handshake or it used
against you for some kind of hazing if you do something wrong during your
cerimony. YOu may want to check with all of the participants first as it
may be against the religeos beliefs of someone in the cerimony to have
there picture taken as it "steals part of your sole". Although in todays
society you can't get by without bigbrother taking your picture.
Other than that I would think it would be a good idea as some of
the other fratenitys on drexels campus have there cerimonies video tapped
to show there new brothers what it is like to be on the other side of the
cerimony and how it should be done before they go to present it the first
time.
