On my honor, I will try To do my duty.......
It seems there is a HUGH need to bring together trainers to discuss
ideas, brainstorm, share objectives, and explore the specific
needs we share.
Thus is born ADIGS, a list specifically for Girl Scout TRAINERS.
Adult Development In Girl Scouting (ADIGS) has been established
for this purpose.
The list is public, but subscriptions will be reviewed to ensure
that all who subscribe understand the focus and content of the
list.
Please let your wired trainers know about this opportunity. The
list is new as of today, October 7, 1996; sort of an early birthday
present in honor of Juliet Low.
Training topics will include general discussions, age level, outdoor,
administrative, board and nominating committees, GSUSA, and other
issues of technique, delivery, evaluation, design, assessment, etc.

Individuals sending a subscription request will be sent a follow up
message to determine their interest and experience in training
in Girl Scouting/Guiding. Any interested party is welcome, although
we will be using technical jargon and presume a knowledge of training

"Getting 'Em and Keeping 'Em" is a dynamnic three-hour seminar on
recruitment and retention of today's volunteers. You will develop an
effective recruitment plan and learn how volunteer motivation affects how
you screen, place, supervise and recognize volunteers. Know when and how
to let volunteers go. The seminar is focused on practical skills, skills
you can put into action the next time you sit down at your desk. Available
