Hello:
I see this slogan as saying the vehicle to develop leadership and
friendship is through a service program. So in essence it is not saying
that any one point is more important than the others, it is saying that
all three are needed in the right combinations to help a program move
forward and be productive.
I helped the newly re-activated Kutztown University Chapter (Omicron
Alpha) through their first budget process last spring. For each VP
(Service, Membership and Fellowship) they all essentially were awarded
the same amount of allocation from the Chapter budget. For without
members there is no program of leadership, friendship and service. For
without friendship the other two suffer and without service there is no
reason for our purposeful being, we would just be another GLO on the campus.
All three are important and I think that is the spirit behind the
proposal of the slogan.
