Let me ask a question based on a hypothetical situation:
Suppose I pledge the Alpha Beta chapter my freshman year and become an active brother. Then I transfer
my sophmore year to the school where the Zeta Eta chapter is and become an active member there. Then
in my junior year, I want to become a life member. According to the bylaws as stated, I became an Alumni
Member when I left (without having been suspended or expelled by the chapter or National Fraternity) the
Alpha Beta chapter in the spring of my freshman year. In my junior year it has been more than one year
since I became an alumni member. Do I have to pay $100 (even though I am a dues paying "undergraduate
active member" of the Zeta Eta chapter)?

She actually is an alumna of Eta Psi. You can find it in the National Bylaws in Article III, section 2, (7):
(7) Alumni Membership.
Upon leaving their respective chapters without having been suspended or expelled by their chapters or the
National Fraternity, all who have held active, advisory, or honorary membership in a collegiate chapter shall
be recognized as alumni members. Advisory members shall be recognized as alumni members when they
become Life Members or upon leaving their respective chapters.
The part about paying the fee to become a Life Member also allows for non-graduation (Article VIII, section
8):
Section 8. Life Membership Fee.
Life Membership shall be granted to all undergraduate active members and to alumni members within one
year of their obtaining alumni status who are in good standing and have contributed fifty dollars ($50) in a
single sum or cumulatively to the National Fraternity and to graduate, advisory, honorary, and other alumni
members who have contributed one hundred dollars ($100) in a single sum or cumulatively to the National
Fraternity. The Life Membership fee, in turn, shall be contributed to the National Alpha Phi Omega
Endowment
Fund.
So it depends on how long ago she left CSU-Chico as to how much her contribution is. If it's a year or less,
then $50. If more than a year, $100.
