Gamma Theta Chapter, University of Colorado at Boulder hosts two MBU's per
year, one in fall and one in spring semesters. Typically each serves
about 300 Scouts. We have offered as many as 30 merit badges, but more
recently cut back to about 20 due to logistics and quality control. We
also concurrently offer adult Scout Leader training on required or related
topics such as Scoutmaster Fast Start; Merit Badge Counseling, Safety
Afloat/Aquatics Safe Swim Defense (for both youth and adults); Youth
Protection training, and a new course "Scouting on the internet" (also for
both youth and adults). We are working on programming to computerize
registration, and processing of merit badge cards to cut down on the
logistics of manual creation of records and paperwork.
Gamma Theta Chapter is also chartered as Explorer Post 492 and works
directly with District Scouting and Exploring events such as Scout Show,
Klondike Derby, Camporees, Explorer Mock Disaster, Explorer Training Team,
and related events.

affiliated with APO) which offers a similar event, and has a home page
