Well, here I go again, but not on the topic you think.
I have seen a lot of posts on this list over the years dealing with a lot
of topics, especially proposals for National Conventions. Some of the
discussion has gotten, well to be frank, downright nasty and
disrespectful.
I want to say that I was heartened by Brother Jason's (from Drexel)
response to my message concerning his amendments. Yes, we disagree and
that's OK because we both are acting in what we believe to believe the
best interests of the APO. I knew that before I started. But his polite
response exemplified the fraternal way to take exception with another
Brother's views. His arguments were well expressed and firm, but always
friendly and never personal. I salute him.
I suggest that as we discuss this or any other proposals that we all try
to follow his example. He cares deeply about his issue but he didn't let
that fact detract from his sense of Brotherhood. That's how all of our
discussions should be, no matter what the issue.
