Jason, I find it interesting that most if not all of the points you made in your post could have been and were made by fraternal and other organizations to resist racial integration. The same arguements can and are made to resist the integration of any group (gays, blacks, women, jews &tc &tc. for example) by organizations that currently contain no such members. Personally I have no objection to private groups choosing their own membership by whatever standard they choose. (Looking at but not opening the BSA can of worms.) I am an attorney who believes that such decisions should be none of the state's business BUT the question to be asked is is it in the best interest of the fraternity?
