His response was:

I would have to disagree that the brother transferring would
automatically be accepted whether the rule books say that it is so. I did
transfer from a campus that had a co-ed chapter to the all male chapter on
another campus. They denied me the membership that I sought. Yet, I
remained with them until the end of their year still unaccepted. They felt
that I was an outsider and treated me with contempt. They felt that I would
convince the university that going co-ed would be the thing to do. This on a
campus that permits no integration of the sexes in anything save the non
traditional student functions. It is all male or all female but not both. I
met with Wilfred, the region director, the section chair and various other
entities who were directly involved and they told me that it is up to the
chapter to either accept or reject. I stand by their advice. I have worked
hard not to be bitter, as I still have difficulty with the chapter's
calousness. I have since transferred back to my home chapter. I could no
longer function as a student there, having no friends and no brotherhood to
call home.
