This came from another list serve, and I thought it would be a good idea
to share it with others that might also be able to benefit. It looks
like a really neat idea.

Applications are now being accepted for the 1997-98 Coro Fellows in Public
Affairs. The Coro Fellows Program is a nine-month, graduatelevel, full-time
experience based leadership training program in public affairs. Fellows
develop an understanding of public policy and decision-making by working
closely with individuals and institutions that influence life in the
public, private, and non-profit sectors. In addition to weekly seminars and
special projects, Fellows participate in a series of field assignments with
government, media, political campaigns, non-profit organizations,
businesses and labor unions.

Coro seeks individuals with demonstrated leadership potential and a genuine
commmitment to public service. Participation requires a bachelor's degree
or equivalent experience. This is a national fellowship and each year there
are classes of twelve Fellows placed in each of four cities: San Francisco,
Los Angeles, New York, and St. Louis.

The national application deadline is February 14, 1997. Our web page
address is www.coro.org
